To Erica Jong

To Erica Jong

A Poem by Rebecca A Kinman

1.

when I put your poetry

in my mouth

its sweet cinnamon

seeps out through my pores

and with baby hands

grasps tiny little notebooks

that shoot out from your page

maybe I will catch one

2.

who put the two words

Good

and

Poetry

together on the same line

with a colon after it?

I loathe

her. and whomever

inserts beneath it

anything but blank space.

3. today i remembered

Who I am Not:

a penswordsman

penis words man

because of you

i nonchalantly slide my pen

into my c**t

and squeeze from it

stanzas, linebreaks.

titles

help. i am

wrapping and discarding

menstrual blood in plastic bags

with false obedience

in a cold

bathroom stall.
