Solitude

Solitude

A Poem by Roberta Weth
"

and older piece that I've taking a new look at and reediting.

"
Water rolls in, pulling the air
A sea of mist churning away

Pulsing, dancing to the beat
Of the heart, she thought broken

Shapes weave in and out
Shadows, day dreams, and memories
Dance hidden, behind walls of fog

Haunted eyes, country song lyrics
Half-imagined remembrances

Call to her, taunting
From within the cold mist

Bare arms red and shivering
Hands over her ears

she walks deeper into the
Shimmering womb

Following the mocking smile
Of reality
