Am I not a miracle?

Am I not a miracle?

A Poem by Rémi Ruben

REFRAIN:

Have you heard of the butterfly effect?

Wouldn’t that be a present perfect try?

Mirror, mirror look at my splendour

 Mirror, look-see-look what I’ve become

 An unlimited striving nothingness

 Timidly daring the non-limitless

In less than three hundred days

In as less time as it takes

 An avocado to ripe

 A green yellow-mellow pulp

In which grows a stony seed

 Copycat of a baby

 Am I not an oracle?

REFRAIN:

In good heart of the matter

 Copycat of the cosmos

 Just alike ripe tomatoes

 Four love dispatching chambers

 Millions of capillaries

 Trillions of self-ruling cells

 Am I not a miracle?

REFRAIN:

 Enlightened at syzygies

Breathing good deeds to the beat

 Heart-searching stardust feelings

To shed light on my wisdom

Do the best I can become

 The best is never enough

With all my heart I love you!
