Blank Red Pages

Blank Red Pages

A Poem by Renaye

Scribbling on blank pages with red ink,
thoughts and feelings splatter the page.
You understand what people think,
That you should know better for your age.

The things you know you should only dream,
still come to life inside your cluttered mind.
Even though no one knows what you mean,
this dream forever holds a shrine.

Inside you heart burns an ignited fire,
no amount of moisture can douse it unlit.
You live within your limits of desire,
Instead of dealing with such hateful s**t.

You keep your composure day and night,
you know you need to be loyal to the end.
Until the time and place appears right,
Your journal will be your best friend.
