SHORT STAY'S

SHORT STAY'S

A Poem by Rene Velez

I can feel the cold, today,
my ego on hiatus,
not caring or trying to
find a way, nothing really
mattered yesterday,

though some would say
it was a wonderful day,
we are here in short stay's,

I can see the Sun way
up there, bright but the
warmth is far away

it's okay to be happy
or even scared, be
stripped from the material
leaving the soul bare,

there is no why or where,
just the sun up there, trees
and the stars sharing their
radiance at night,

leaves, in their colorful
display and natural delight,
most of us declining their
comforting invite,

and it is cold today,
I think I've found my way,
even if nothing really matters
today.
