BREATH LIKE POETRY

Oh the sound of stars,
majestic in their waves,
wished upon by dreams,
of dreams and destinies,
a universe in its simple
symphony,

sacred we are
in our geometry, breath
like poetry we measure
in days,

and the rivers applaud,
for the weak and the flawed,
and the songs they sing
of a love we crave,

the things we save,
the memories brave,
wished upon stars
that hold our dreams,
the love that stays
in bountiful streams.
