MOMMY'S HAND

MOMMY'S HAND

A Poem by Rene Velez

Where's mommy's hand,
I'm in a place, I'm out of place,
Where's my mommy's hand,
I lay on the floor, and they ignore
me, because I'm from a
different country...I'm hungry,

I'm three years old,
and they say I have to
stay in this cage, and
I'm afraid,

Where's my mommy's hand,
I want her hugs, I want her love,
I want my mommy's hand,

I don't know what's wrong,
I miss the song my mommy
sings to me, when she smiles at me,
I miss my mommy hand,

mommy said she found a new home,
but I'm alone, I don't want be alone,
I want my mommy's hand.

it is just awful what is happening to the immigrants with this administration...tearing families apart.
This poem speaks volumes with its words.
