Pure CreationA Poem by Purple Muse"Breathe life into things," you say, I'm an artist--how can I do anything else? That's like telling a fish to swim, A sparrow to fly. As I breathe I dance, As my lungs swell my fingers type, Just as my blood pumps poetry spills, I'm an artist. "We create futures," you say. Maybe you create futures, As a conscious effort and thing, I just see the future; and Like you take your next breath, write it I dance it, paint it, capture it with light; I breathe life into the future and watch it form Like frost on the window--a perfect slate For drawing your perfect world. For this is creation pure, Pure and strong, And no matter what else I'm doing... I'm also doing that. © 2012 Purple MuseFeatured Review
