Oh it's funny how a dream can get you in so much trouble

How just having an innocent mind can get everyone to hate you

The lonely existence of a boy

Oh the sad life of a wonderer

Yes the struggles of a dreamer

 

Writers write

Fighters fight

Dreams dream

All were born to do so

 

A writer can always find friends

A fighter can win them over

But a dreamer, oh the lonely dreamer

He can only dream them, he will never have them

He is too busy living in his make belief world

Where everyone loves him and he is scared of no one

 

If a writer writes

He's a poet or an author

If a fighter fights

He's a boxer or a wrestler

But if a dreamer dreams

He's naive

Why did we limit ourselves to these grounded realities?

Why can't a dreamer dream forever?

Why can't dreamers dream while awake?

Why is dreaming always associated with sleep?

We all wake up, but do we all have to stop dreaming?

Oh the lonely life of a dreamer...
