Why

Why

A Poem by Richard Helbert

a love so strong, so intense, so real,
lost not knowing which way to feel,
the darkest most lonley place to be.

i wish one word could change it all.
lift the despair and defeat,
will there ever be sanity again.
or will it be a steady fall,
to the depths of hopelessness,
its so easy to just sink
and try to forget.

only the end would bring peace.
that smooth release,
no more thoughts no more rain,
no more jerk that causes pain,
a final solution
to put an end to the cold and confusing time,
which no matter which way to look.
makes no sense to me.
i wish i could open my eyes and truly see.
why..........'

A two way love is one of the greatest things God gives to us. I lost my husband last year, and wonder if the pain will ever end. Valentine
