~ May's First Kiss ~

 Carry us through whiffs of rain …
willing fragrance, fresh and fain.
New visions of May, bless us from today.

Flowers grow inside our room …
soothing colors in full bloom;
a heart-kissed bouquet in each tender spray.
 
Warm blushes caress our faces …
teardrops’ gratitude graces.
Love wakes to obey, instantly portray.

High from May’s ebony night,
voices of stars singing bright
chant a sweet array of choral display.

The painting of Lover's rise
fondly emerge from our eyes …
drunken fire-sparks sway, frames leaning to pray.

Embraced in pure ecstasy,
depths of our passions set free;
that each moment stay a warming foray.

" Oh, precious moon, fill the night
with voices of sweet delight …
spread glorious ray o’er our ardent play.

Bless our lips with May's first kiss

of matrimonial bliss.

May, in every way ~ love never betray.

I think with your generously exciting invitation and form choice, all your hard work and due diligence, coupled with your immaculate choices of font, color, and painting, all that could be said to someone as pleasantly surprised and pleased as I am, you've said … and so much more.
You are a sheer joy to write with; especially, considering your normal skill is not rhyming poetry … you truly amazed me with how quickly and easily you made your portions seem, and just look at how beautifully our poem turned out. : )

Very airy and light tone. It was like a gentle breeze was carrying you along as you read this beautifully worded piece. The image matches the tone of the piece and adds a little something extra. "Flowers grow inside our room … soothing colors in full bloom; a heart-kissed bouquet in each tender spray." were my favorite lines. I could fully imagine this lovely scene as well as the rest.
