Terra Incognita Epilogue (My Love and My Hate)

Terra Incognita Epilogue (My Love and My Hate)

A Poem by Katie Richards

Your figure;

So subtle, yet so effective.

It sends the adrenaline racing through my body's passages.

You are the contradictory statement;

An ocean with no water;

You are my gift and my curse.

I sinfully and innocently opened Pandora's box only to find one amazing year followed by years in the flames of Sheol.

Oh, how it devoured me

Consumed me

Inch by inch

Until nothing remained of me but this desolate heart scattered upon your feet.

Love and Hate

Such contradictory qualities that seem to have such endless impacts on people...

My love and my hate, you have proved to be.
