The gate of fate

The gate of fate

A Story by Richie
"

The death of a young lady leads to a riddle between life and death.

"

A gate where summoned
by the death of a young lady called Erida
Only the gates fate could save her
If only the gate could be opened
If the gate failed to open
The gate would perish into oblivion
The kingdom would fall into pieces
Without an heir, without royal blood
Without anyone to trust in the highest lead
civil war would break out,
darkness would seek out the hearts of the innocent and turn them to beasts.
But the gates wasn't summoned in the castle.
A map appeared in the middle of the square
It was sealed into a giant block of ice, the path where blury
A glowing inscription appeared and burned letters to the wall
They who can break the ice, drink the blood and cut thrugh stone
is welcome to try to catch me.
Men from all around town lined up to accept the challenge.
The first man took a swing with a giant hammer
It smashed into the block of ice and a loud echo surrounded the square
Then it faded like the calm before a storm.
From nowere a bolt struck the man who turned into a sculpture of shining ice
Some of the men who seemed to have the same strategi as the firts left the line in fear
Another man took a few steps towards the block and looked at it.
He grabbed his bow and lit an arrow to fire at the block.
The arrow hit it and the ice around it started to melt.
The map revealed itself, but only a path of small dots where visable to the eye.
Another message started to appear on the map.
Pure as red
The blood will shed
Thrugh frienldy tears
the road appears
The man with the bow hesitated, was this riddle solved by killing a friend or killing himself?
The man took the dagger from his belt and with a blow he struck it into his best friend
who was standing behind him. The man fell dead to the ground.
The man with the bow laid his hand on his chest and covered it in blood.
He put the bloody hand on the map and waited.
And once again from nowere a bolt came thrugh the air and struck the man.
He exploded into a hundred pieces.
Now the line only had a few men left as the others fleed.
A third man approched the block, different from the second man who killed his friend
he took out his dagger and stuck it in himself. The bloodstench hit the map and
the map revealed itself. The man fell to the ground chipping for air.
But when the map slowly was grabbed by the air it sailed down to his chest it healed his
fatal wounds and the peace in the land was restored

This was odd,but intriguing in the best way possible. I really enjoyed the way you composed it,separating and thereby emphasizing each line. Also,it reminded me of The Sword In The Stone, and that was one of my favs,so this had a great impact on me.
I'm so jealous of your writing skills! You have mad talent(:
