kernel of life

kernel of life

A Poem by Rikkevi Rue
"

the thread of life force winds throughout

"

The universe span is vast, divine

from the cusp of now past the edge of time

Man, in his limited state of mind

conceives he is all there is to find

but before his recent debut here

Life had lived for a billion years.

Out of the timeless yawning chasm

from the first minds thought to conceptions spasm

whether borne of hate or born of love

if they walk as men or crawl the mud

not drawn perhaps from a source above

but for sure Life's spark imbues the blood.

So thrill, as you fill with the pulse of life!

bold adventures race, lonely call of night

from its break each day at a pace so drastic

dreams illuminate in the light fantastic

wonderment awes, all breaths expire

bellows that urge the temper’s fire

whether flames of love or the flames of ire

they burn with a heat will never tire.

.

All struggle to rise, adversity met

resisted at each turn, forget

that despite life’s cruel and senseless lows

the hope is yet alive for those

who made wary by life’s lessons, bet

real life is wild and brutal, yet

its frail as the thread of a spiders net

or a butterfly’s wing, so delicate

its vital as the rushing rapids

the power of nature, life’s straight path is

a nightly ballet of heavenly orbits

the oceans that caress each shore, its

the graceful swell of a deep sea wave

the wonder of secret hidden caves

the thunderous force of a waterfall

huddled, here inside this kernel

kernel of life, curls beauty’s vine

pulsing heart, expressions wine

raw emotion inspired, sublime

down to the finest speck of time

Vibrations trace in the pulse of atoms

an inner world, dark depths unfathomed

from the tiny grain of the elements,

to the vast expanse of the firmament,

the awe seen in children who gaze up in wonder

in the beauty captured free, there-under

to float in their mind like the finest thread,

by imagination’s prism, artfully lighted

reflections of sparkling filaments,

that darkness pull cannot forget...

First display of cognizance dawning

dawning at the great gulf yawning

the gulf of life that weaves throughout

by the end perforce will leave no doubt

that each is a part of life’s grand spread

from the bursting nova overhead

to the finest twill from the weaver’s web.

With intricate pattern's creative turn

imagination claims to yearn

the insistent Create! of Life Force’s vigor

an undulating wave that triggers

original, hybrid, imposter or clone

impelling each with a thrust its own

though sewn throughout its unique, divine

such that each in his meager time

is integral yet, to the plan divine

yes, each plays a part in the plan divine.

First the bad just to get it out of the way, In the second stanza, the 7th line the last word looks like it should be fire, however it only says "ire". Small edit. The poem feels a bit forced, more so in the third stanza. In some of the areas the lines are a bit long and seem to take away from what you have written.
Now with that being said, what you have written is good. A quick edit on the format and I think you would be able to convey this poem with much more fluidity. The subject of this poem is an edgy one, and you have approached it with great finess and have not isolated your readers of differnt beliefs. Very well thought out concept. Overall you did a great job here.

I really appreciate the way you've called our attention to life's contrasts. From the "bursting nova overhead to the finest twill from the weaver's web". You're really inviting the reader to consider the endless divine creations that are seemingly unrelated, but they are all magnificent universal expressions. The spider's web holding no less value or importance than the nova. And its the same with people. We may seem so unrelated, but we are all divinely intended and therefore a significant piece to the puzzle making our own unique contribution in the world.

I suppose that I could simplify in order to pacify...but then the span of life encompasses both extreme complexity...and utter simplicity. This piece aims to pan the spectrum...at least on a rough sketch basis. In hopes for ever broadening horizons...rikk

I think your words spin like galactic arms~ slapping the conceit out of us humanity as whole with star tipped fingers raking back the skin of surface to expose the connective tissue linking all to all~

Oh how arrogant we are.In our arrogance are the truths of our ignorance .We shall all be dust when someday another arrogant race rises to claim the mantle of the only one.his by destroying any pretenders to the throne i suppose it is natures way for those who reach the top of the chain
