Zen in Real Life

Zen in Real Life

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

...

"

I cannot fold a fitted sheet,

not to save my life;

a scandal as a woman,

a homemaker, a wife

I’ve heard advice from other folks,

explained in great detail

I’ve watched the how-to videos

of course, to no avail

this one small task that troubled me

made me incomplete;

I now embrace the beauty

in unfolded fitted sheets

I may be going crazy... this is the only poem that has come to mind in ages... Oh well, back to the laundry... ;)

Ha ha ha. I love this, having been taught by my mom, who worked in a tourist camp in her youth, yet I have been unsuccessful at transferring the skill to my nieces and daughters. :) this made me smile.

Well Rita if you had writers block at least you got one out there. I haven't written a new piece in over a month. It was a fun red and I enjoyed it but don't let the laundry trouble you much.
