Seek

Seek

A Poem by Rita L. Sev
"

An Epiphany...

"

Seek

Across the lonely wilderness

Through bleak and barren lands;

Would we journey thus to hold

Great riches in our hands?

The treasure looked so very small;

Colossal was its worth

A bundle of the purest love

So rarely found on earth

It seems now an abandoned quest

Some say for just the weak

But for this great and perfect wealth

The wise will always seek

Is it the seeking that makes us wise, or wise because we seek? at the end of the day it is the love and learning in the journey that matters. I feel like this reflection highlights the message of epiphany well. It isn't about material or money, it is about loving and being loved. simple yet we always complicate. I love your effortless way of making my mind and heart bounce with the rhythm of your words. you're a joy to read. I hope you are well.

A beautiful poem, in its simplicity and elegance. As long as we have been here we have been searching.

It keeps us going... :) Thank you, KL!
What a good reflection for ending lent... how it began.
Was meditating this morning on how a little child will lead them- and He did and does.
Now I've got to write a piece on this too.

Thank you, Bacchus - I wrote this as a reflection on the Epiphany, but it works for seeking in Lent .. read more
Seeking. Searching for meaning. Not only wise men do, we all try to.

I live in Brussels and what happened here today has me wondering. Is the universe absolutely indifferent or is there a greater purpose?

Beautiful writing.

Thank you, Blue! Good to see you! :)
This is technically perfect and flows off the tongue when read aloud. So beautifully written, it perfectly delivers the message. It should be read every Christmas to remember the reason for the season. You are a great poet with a beautiful heart, Rita.
