A Poem by Aiden L K Riverstone

Another sleepless night

Another sleepless night
Restless and uncomfortable
I tossed turned nearly fell off the bed
Fluffed my pillows a million times
Yet I remain awake
Finally drifting off
A car door slams in a nearby yard
Warm milk, heating pad, hot water bag
Playing soothing nature sounds
Here I lay
Never to sway
Another sleepless morning

I'm with you on that one, normally get up and write. Was this one of those moments I wonder?

I have a theory that I'd become nocturnal if i just went to bed when I wanted and awoke when I wanted. I never go to bed or get tired before 6 in the morning.

I just stay awake and all of a sudden I fall asleep at six am. It's horrible!

lol nice poem.
