flawless potential

flawless potential

A Poem by Robyn

impeccable
talent meets genius
music swells and bursts
and cuts through the stagnant air
the moment is no longer dull
creativity spikes
beauty radiates through
golden sound surrounds
music becomes my embrace

We are all waiting
for the moment
you break the silence
with all of your
flawless potential

                          pure magic.

There is nothing like music... nothing!

I like the first stanza very much. The other two, not so much. I would cut them out, leave just the first one - really captures that moment when the conductor's baton is in the air, poised to drop. I dig.

So much unfulfilled potential in all of us awaiting a spark to set it ablaze and shower the world. By the looks of it, you are talking about a musician which makes it so much more important in my opinion. We crave beautiful music, as music is food for the soul.

The form you chose suits the poem very well.
Nicely done.

I actually really like this poem. I like how you wrote it to where the font gets smaller. Very creative.

I read this aloud and caught myself lowering my voice at the second stanza and whispering the last line. Interesting.
I like it.

Clever idea. I enjoyed the unusual structure you employed in this poem.

Although I never like the word 'flawless' itself. If you call something flawless, then it means you don't know enough about the subject to judge it accurately.

I particularly liked the phrase 'golden sound'. Nice write :D

Even the most beautiful of diamonds had flaws. But it is the skill of the cutter that makes it the most beautiful.

Thank you for sharing this piece. Short, sweet, and complete. Almost sounds like the words are speaking directly to the readers. Was it constructed for this effect?
