Speckled Fig Beyond My Knee

Speckled Fig Beyond My Knee

A Poem by R. L. Ambar

Speckled Fig Beyond me Knee

Oh speckled fig beyond me knee

You hold the gaze of my jealous heart

When all is broken and torn apart

Why, oh speckled fig beyond my knee

Do you yearn for your speckled tree

Will you die under solars glare

To rot and fester yet remain so broken

When all your lines remain unspoken

Yes speckled fig beyond me knee

How you harbor this animosity

I will let you rot oh speckled fig

For both our days are numbered

And when you are not watching me

I will be torn asunder

random, but its a poem you should ake sure to keep and never lose. very well written, i'm impressed to see a 16 yr old pull out this usage of terminology within your piece. The poem has a great flow to it... its easy to read, and fun to read as well.. the only thing if i may, is suggest this restructure of words to continue the smooth flow going throughout the poem.. "To rot and fester remaining broken" my fav line, is "why, oh speckeled fig byond my knee, do you yearn for your speckled tree" this poem i will come back and read just to smile

much love n' respect
