The Banks of Aie River

The Banks of Aie River

A Poem by Ronjoy Brahma

I wake up early in the morning
With my father and mom,
And go in the land of farming
To work with them.
By my eyes I saw the father
Since my childhood, he is a farmer
Work in the rain and scorching
But my father, he is like a warrior.
I am the son of a farmer
Had to work like father and mom,
To live in the world forever
My hope and dreams for them.
Dark green and our village the most beautiful
The banks of aie river,
How to forget my childhood days and partner?
Always sad and happiness in this village.
My hope in this village and the world
Flows like the clean river,
I write every dreams of life
The song of birds and waterfall, collecting the rhythm.
Every day and night I call
Sun, you bring us the new light
Moon, you come to the sky
For all our happiness and journey.
