I can still hear the wedding bells

"Each time you hear a bell ring, an angel get's her wings"

 Had a dream I was dressed in white.

felt so real I had to believe it true.

   never thought this day would come, and in my heart I always knew it would be you.

 caught in a moment of hearing the wedding bells, as I sleep tonight.

hearing the music that fills the room and the look in my parents eyes, then I look at you. 

walking toward my future trying my hardest to breath.

As I continue walk I can hear them say,"She's almost glowing." 

As I try and hold back the tears

you take my hand.

Dreaming of this moment all my life and now it's finally here.

As I look into your eyes the sky's seems so clear and I finally understand,

this was God's plan.

Now our vow's are said and our knot is tied.

I hear a voice within my heart that says, "There's no more looking back, run straight ahead.

Only stop to look back and see... just how far you've come."

I can hear the the wedding bells toll as the angels sing. 

I always knew it was meant to be but never knew it would happen for me.

Dreaming of our first dance as husband and wife as our family's watch the new life we begin to start. 

the love that's in our hearts show within our eyes;

not a word needs to be said cause you already know, I love you too.

Waking up, I remember it all. 

the wedding bell tolls, the walk down the aisle, even 

the way it felt when you held my hand and our first kiss standing together at the end.

I can still hear the wedding bells.

The day will come when I wake up and you will be right here next to me.

I will look at my ring and look at you then know it's not a dream.

Till then I hear the wedding bells and the choir sing...

Author's Note

This poem was just something I have always loved to write about. I have had dreams before of wedding bells, and walking down the aisle. I hope this poem can relate to anyone that has had this same dream before. Everything comes in time, and when it's meant to be. Till then I hope the bells that ring in your heart give you wings to forever believe.

I've also had dreams of getting married but they have never been as serene as this. Mine were mostly stressful like; not being able to find a dress or being forced into marriage. I had often dreamt that I was marrying someone I didn't know (I could never see their face) and that was frightening for me. I'm glad to hear that your experience were in contrast, much lovelier.

In reality though, I had a great wedding. ;)
