My sweet surrender

My sweet surrender

A Poem by Rosaria_V
"

"I surrender happily"

"
Walking slow down a quiet street.
The sun start to peak as I walk along the sidelines.
Taking in the warmth and the silence, thanking god for today.
as I go on my way

taking in everything around me and all my blessings,
nothing else seems to matter, I caving in... this is my sweet surrender.
I surrender happily.

Taking time for just the moments that most take for granted and are hardest to get back
to get back, spending time with the ones you
love cause there will come a day where there will be an empty
space at the family table where a peace of your heart used to be.

Trusting in today, thanking God for tomorrow, and everyday he gives.
This is my sweet surrender to live life happily and trust in him.

Author's Note

This is a small piece I wrote about faith. I love being able to write about faith and how faith has gotten me threw so much. I have respect for everyones religion, and views of faith. These are mine :) and I hope you enjoy them! I surrender happily and trust that no matter what, we have the good lord watching over us and he will guide us to where we are meant to be. Live for the little moments you will treasure and look back at at with a smile. No matter what paths we take in life, always keep faith. Thank you so much for reading!! :D

This one is all to real for me...that empty space has been at our table for a year now, but it doesn't necessarily mean a sense of loss...if one is willing to look for and accept the signs that loved ones are never truly that far away, then the signs will come...this is a phenomenon I've become increasingly conscious of in the last decade or so...some people say their mind is open to signs but don't believe them when they arrive...this piece reads like an invitation to do so, a reassurance that it's alright to believe one's eyes and mind whether things can be rationalized or not...wonderful work Rosie :)

It is very intoxicating when you notice all the beauty around you. Faith is often what sees us through those difficult times. Well done.

Couldn't agree more!! Thank you so much
Recently I won a battle against breast cancer. Having never been sick a day in my life, faith got me through it. Everyday for me since has been a day to smile in the sunshine and cherish every moment. Your poem hit home for me my friend. Thank you for sharing your faith and inspiration.

aww thank you soo much!
For sure. Human nature tricks us on a daily basis ,we take things for granted and only when disaster strikes do we realise just how much we had. It's good to stop and smell the flowers once in a while.
Thanks

I really like the title of this, it really defines the poem, about how you're taking in all of the things that you see and feel and with surrender, comes realizated! Great job!

your too sweet thank you for all the awesome reviews!
What I like most of your writing is the messages you portray in each piece. Such powerful uplifting words that share your beliefs. In the moment of sweet surrender we commit ourselves to God, to our beliefs, and we truly appreciate the little moments we have been blessed with. Thank you for the reminder that each day starts with Him and ends with Him.
