Three Words

Three Words

A Poem by Ross Saunders
"

Starting to repost a lot of the stuff I took down, here's the first.

"

I watched the end of the world.

It wasn't much of anything.

It wasn't chaotic

or loud

or scary.

It just was.

Just two people.

Just two people using three words.

Three

overused

abused

lost words.

Hollow words that worlds crumble on.

Powerful and beautiful in its simplicity - an interesting concept too. I especially like the last line of this- it is thought provoking in my opinion.
A great poem. I enjoyed reading it.

Very simple yet powerful piece. I love how direct it is, no grand flourishes, just simple and easy to understand. Something which is not often seen in poetry.
I do feel like the repitition of "just two people" breaks the flow a little bit.
Thanks for sharing.

This is brilliant! Concise, delivered with conviction and leads the reader away though paths of many visions! Beautifully done xoxo
