Resentment

Resentment

A Poem by RBrmdz
"

Journal Freewrite I'm trying to make into a poem

"
I swallow my words
Like a seed it goes down
Rough but not painful
Until I swallow too many
And a plant of resentment
Grows deep in my core
Growing up and out
Ripping free from my eyes ears and mouth
Now everything I see hear and say
Is full of resentment
Some things are better left said

Truth, though in my case they don't always need to be said to the person who inspired them! Too much unresolved resentment does tend to start staining everything we see. Good poem, with an excellent last line!
