i follow you because i searched and found

i met you

 

my curiosity lifts me to the next,

and to the next wonder

i follow you because i got

i got back to you

you led me back

 

you give me all i need

even when i have need

 

even when i don't see what i have,

or when i forget to look for you,

or that which i should do, i don't

 

i found you to be true and real

even though i can't see you,

i love you

 

you wash me clean,

make me new every day

give me love 'til the final hour . . .

 

i will lift you through the pain and get you past

if you will stand in wonder

and see what you have gained

you will be grateful and then understand

when you stand in the glorious light mine

your resentment will fade away

you will see what was there all along from this height

 

you will cry not of joy,

but that you made it despite the odds

you made it through, by me

with me is what i made you for

 

your resentment of me,

because of the pain i let you go through,

when you cried and it seemed i was not there

will fade far away too

 

in its place

love will fill,

not the same as on the earth,

that you felt

and pushed away because of the pain,

but it will not come and go this time,

it will forever stay

 

you'll rest with me,

my joy will fill your every pore

as you see everything that's been laid for you

 

the crooked claw down there

that grabs and tears and rends what i have built

his dragon jaw of teeth

that rips my soft flesh,

my lambs of loveliness-

you'll clearly see

the dangers at every turn that were there,

every fear

those poison plots to harm to kill

i, myself bring them through

you'll see again

from this vantage point

beneath your tired feet,

you'll understand

 

you'll stare in wonder how you made it through

the diabolos lies that easy could kill the greatest saint

the strongest in armor clad,

warrior of the light

could never stand alone without me

i am the branch of the vine,

you are one the leaves,

by my spirit you conquer the evil one

 

the stronghold of the damned,

the perdition of his reign

his kingdom of the abyss den,

you'll see below your feet,
