Ashamed

Ashamed

A Poem by WriderParker
"

If the dead man could talk to us, what would he say?

"
Ashamed of my past faults, I remain
I avow my own iniquities
But in my vault, cut off, from confession
Leaden in my lurid and cold last home
This haunting hill is where I lay, endlessly
The worms shall eat on the tainted reeking meat
The fate of all is to suffer as I
To forever more remain in their grave
I avow my own iniquities
Ashamed of my past faults, I remain.

There is a good look to the poem when it is centered. I'm using my iPod to post this. What do you all think?

"The fate of all is to suffer as I" this is definitely my favorite line. great piece, love the metaphor in it and the self-evalutaion. very good imagery as well I can almost see literal worms eating a corpse

a confession anthem of sorts...realization of sins and a thorough self-realization well narrated...

This was well written and I like the symmetry in the poem. Also, your descriptions were very well and overall I enjoyed it.

Whoa! This is amazing, like the wording. I like your last two sentences.

this was good, strong, hit the nail on the head... have I been in that state? why, yes, I'm sure everyone has... the point is to not remain in that state, but I'm going to get crazy/biblical/religious and no one wants that...

again, well written...
