Deconstruction and Sea Sickness

Deconstruction and Sea Sickness

A Poem by Rylan Leif
"

One for when you've broken something

"
I know not of love
Love knows not of me
Sick builds its way up
Brick by brick
Swirling through my stomach
Crashing against my heart
Waves against the shore
Tearing me apart
Crimson blood
Alabaster bone

Strip me down to raw materials
Break me down to mere minerals
Calcium, Iron and Magnesium
Heart, Mind and Soul

Lay me down cold-- in pieces
Simple deconstruction

For I know not of love

Well this was touching. Since I feel the exact way of your first two lines. Stop being such a good writer kay? You're making me look bad.

I'll say you have me floored. I love this, "I know not of love/ Love knows not of me"... I feel like I can much relate.

p.s. your tags are a riot, "men do not require shirts at all" lol.
