Run

Run

A Poem by Eryn ♪

I feel the pavement beat against my feet,
Taking me away from this place.
The road ahead is dark,
Littered with troublesome people,
And even more,
Troublesome places.
Still I run,
Not away,
But towards the trouble.
Most think it unwise,
Telling me that,
If you play with fire you will burn.
But fire is what started us,
On this journey,
Not a single thing happened without it.
It flew rockets,
Crossed the see,
Set the world on it's path,
Fire burns,
But beauty is born from it's ashes.
This flame within,
lights our way,
on this dark road ahead.
So I will run on,
for up ahead there is another,
burning light.
So I will brave the darkness,
Until your light I do reach.
For you mean the most to me.
