You Were There

Religious.

When I was paralyzed with fear.....

         You were there.

When nothing was going right.....

         You were there.

Although I rejected You....

         You were there.

When I was looking for a reason to live....

         You showed me hope.

You gave Your son,

         And I denied You.

You showed the truth,

         And I lived lies.

You spoke to me,

         And I didn't listen.

Again You spoke to me,

         And still I did not listen.

You spoke to me and broke me....

         Then I listened.
