It's Kinda Funny...

Just a poem of an unusual love

 

It's kinda funny.

Those moments you check up on me,

Making sure I'm safe.

All the while you think I don't notice.

That swift glance to make sure I'm still standing,

The sweep of the room to know I'm still here.

I get you mean well,

But I still think its funny.

It's kinda funny.

You take my smart mouth remarks in stride,

Never once letting me see you fall.

Yet I know that everyone falls at some point,

But you seem to like the part of Hero.

I like you in that part, I think you look good there.

But I still think it's kinda funny.

It's kinda funny.

The fact that you comprehend those little smiles of mine.

You know when I'm joking and when I'm not.

You pretend to be serious, when I know you just want to laugh.

It's nice that you try to be semi serous when the others are not,

But I still think its funny.

It's kinda funny.

Being able to wear a towel cape,

While standing on the table and calling you "Watson",

And not having you think I'm a freak.

Being able to bake a cake with you, getting you covered in flour,

And not have you mention my inability to cook.

Your flour covered smile that says too much, may have been my fault,

But I still think its funny.

It's kinda funny.

That even though many people may read this,

They wont figure out who you are.

Even you may not see whats right in front of you,

Though if you did you would laugh as well.

But all thats okay.

Because thats what makes it funny.
