DREAMY EUPHORIA

DREAMY EUPHORIA

A Poem by SHEEMA HUQ
"

A Poem

"

      A sullen air of solemnity

       felt palpably forced,

                 undercurrents of

                  stress, earnestly

         soared, pin slanted

        hailstones purposefully

poured, as they thawed,

there followed a dreamy

euphoria, delectably caused,

by rose petals of browning

magenta, effusing an

abiding, sweet exuberance,

in  vivid, soothing,

gracious,  abundance.

I love you words and imagery in this. It reminds me of a wedding where one must marry, but everything eventually forced soft and smooth ... mixed with the weather, in this as a certain mood, which one can feel, I could be way off, but that's what I felt :) you write so beautifully my friend, thanks for sharing this pearl, of calmness.

That was beautiful twice with delicious rhythm, I think I'm going to read it again!
*interlude*

I'm tasting the image with that strangely silent post-hail orangey-purple light; I need to thank you, I hadn't remembered that otherwise. You've made a window, here.
Thank You!

^___________^!

Love the color usage in this. The colors and the rhythm are great.

Hello, thanks so much!
The way in which you've placed your words and made them meld is like the gentle tapping on a drum, a musical mantra, words to dream with, time to close eyes and see 'sweet exuberance' in a place only 'you' can reach. Lovely.. i leave, smiling.

I am very flattered by you comments, thank you dear Emma Joy, sincerely.
Very smooth, soft, silk-like and beautiful are your words this day. As if a dream has appeared in broad daylight before my eyes. Gracefully the days pass and beauty becomes all the more evident. Lovely my friend.

Hi Jack, you are very kind, thank you very much!
You write poems as that flown off the tongue and this is no exception, it is beautiful. I think it is so descriptive,no can almost smell the blossom

Thanks so much Dean.
So calming...just like the rose petals' essence.
We all wanted a perfect bliss...even in a dream.
Great!
