Real Men do Cry

Keeping your emotions bottled up will not help...tears are a sign of strength and not weakness.

'I’ll be with you forever',

her last words

still ringing in his ears.

A month after

the commander in chief

got tears.

He conquered numerous wars,

all alone with his strategies.

Chivalrous

he was called.

Ain't ruled by his fears

the real man he was.

Leading his troops,

he was moving ahead

when received ‘that’ message.

Yet, his decision was

to move on.

He exhibited great courage.

 

The nation was victorious,

celebrations kicked on;

somewhere between all this

the commander in chief,

he expected

no bliss.

He rushed to the hospital

his heart in his hands.

He reached the white door,

saw her smiling

and all her love

to be poured.

Society judges the tears of a man,

considers him weak

but he cared about no one.

He weeped holding her hand

praying

she can be saved by someone.

She breathed the last breath

gripping his hands tight.

Her last words, he remember

came out whispering

through her lips,

“I’ll be with you forever”.

He cried a lot,

his darling wife was lost.

But tears don’t make

any less of a man;

it shows his heart

can feel the pain.
