Abandonment

Something no one likes

yet when it happens in nature, with old buildings and cars

it's something

Beautiful.

To some it's scary

or maybe they think the place is 'haunted' 

But in truth, it can be something beautiful

when nature takes back what it 'lost'

it's extraordinary.

Though many will never see things like this

others go and capture it in a photo

for those of us who

may never see it in person.

And to those people

who capture those photos 

I thank you.

For showing us that 

things 

that were most likely

ugly

 when they were 'alive'

can be beautiful or 'haunting' in the end,

but they are the things that become part of history

the things that have a story many 

may not know.

Well, I hate and have a complex with abandonment.. The imagery in your poem is nice and the flow is good.. and you wrote in free verse which I like.. I also practice it and find few writers who do the same..
