Crystal Platter Shattered

Crystal Platter Shattered

A Poem by SRS_Writer

                   Crystal Platter Shattered

                        By: Shaudae Smith

A crystal platter trimmed in silver

Carried, uncovered, and served by well dressed slaves.

Sprinting and running to every command of a millionaire

As he ask for more servings of this wonderful, equisite lifestyle.

Not knowing his limits.

Instead he begs for more of this delightful delicacy.

For the wealthy man,

Riches are just another serving on a crystal platter.

But for the struggling man,

The crystal platter is shattered.

Pieces are scattered all over stony gravel.

Wounding his coarse hands

As he scurries to put the broken pieces back together.
