PAINTED FACE

I want to wear makeup

But mom says I am too young

I sneak in and put on some of mom’s lipstick

Ruby red in color

And some of mom’s blush

I get some of her eyeliners and put some on

I look in the mirror and see how pretty I look

And oh so much like a grown up

When my mom sees me she explodes

With my painted face

And takes me too the bathroom and makes me wash it all off

Boy is she mad

She tells me over and over again

I believe that girls become ladies when they put make-up on but I like natural beauties. The ones who do not wear make-up often and goes on walking around the streets with smiles on their faces. That's why adults wanted their daughters to grow up just like them. I think this poem touches that topic.

Nice.. I hate makeup actually.... It's gross and ugh. I just hate make up, ponytails, pink and I wont go into any more detail. Anways, a great poem/story. I loved it. Keep on writing!
