To See My Darling

Although most of my time is filled with work and school and laced with Joy;There are nights and lonely times when my loss comes in like a fog.

I am waiting for the greatest day of my life
 That day of my beloved Christ that ends all earthly strife
  The day I fall asleep and wake on heavens shore
   The day I see my wife once more
    I know she is calling for me at least I hope its true
     I spend my days longing to see this life through
      I have had enough and done enough for this world I care not
       Compared to what awaits me soon for the celestial prize I've sought
        Oh could it be within one hour or perhaps two
          I hope it is not so long till darling I am with you
