Life and Friends

Life and Friends

A Poem by Lokesh

Life is beautiful
Because you meet friends who are dutiful
They are the painkillers to your agonies
They are the pillars to your victories

Life is sad
Because you meet friends who are bad
They are the thieves of diligence
They are the masters of arrogance

I think this is great. I have met both good and bad friends in my life over the years. You simply described how I feel about those friends:) Great job!!

Marvelous! The rhyme was wonderful and it seemed that the it naturally fitted the imagery rather than the images being forced into a certain meter. The tenor of optimism is apparent and declared from the opening lines; this pieces holds no secrets, instead stating for all to see what it believes. I enjoyed that immensely.

This poem was wonderfully moralistic without being at all saintly, or seeming like sermon delivered at the reader. For that it should be applauded as well.

I shall look forward to reading more of your work! Bravo!

I like the logic of this poem. Good friends will pick you up when needed. Bad friends will leave you behind. We need to take of our good friends. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and a excellent poem.
