Pendulum

Pendulum

A Poem by Lokesh

Like a pendulum, I swing
Between passion and compulsion
When I swing to passion,
My heart receives peace and joy
But when I swing to compulsion,
Sadness and dullness dwells in my heart

But what can I do about it?
I am the pendulum
Swinging is my life, my fate
I think I should stop bemoaning
And acknowledge what the truth is
And live my life as it is

Oh my!
Right now, i am actually in that place..stuck between choosing my passion and a compulsion. And as the compulsion seems more practical, i dont know what to do about it..
The comparison to a pendulum is creative.
A well penned poem. :)

I like the vision of the pendulum and how it balances out passion and compulsion, although I'm not sure what kind of compulsion to which you refer. Good poem.
