Unrequited Love

Unrequited Love

A Poem by SabrinaThePoet

I bottle my feelings and fill them with liquor
Unrequited love will make you bitter
She would sweeten the blow with lines like " it's not you, it's me"
I can't remember the last time I've ever felt at peace
Maybe it's because memories of her are starting to fade like these worn-out jeans that I'm wearing
Staring, I be staring into space sometimes
Trying to connect the fragments of what could have been like a constellation in my mind She could have been my world
We could have exploded into galaxies
But in actuality her oblivion proves that my fantasies are fallacies So I have to face reality…

nice stuff. lots of potential. worn-out jeans statement's a bit cheesy though. it could also have been longer. check out my stuff and recommend to others. thanks.
