A poem about what I would do if I owned the world.

If I Owned the World

 

If I owned the world there would

Be changes around here, hoo boy

First no more fighting, no more death

No politicians acting coy.

Under my rule there'd be no lies

No knives stabbed into others' backs

No more "The people need our help!"

While those who say it rake in cash.

We'd help the bums and give them jobs

We'd revolutionize our cars

We'd make it so they run on light

We'd travel all the way to Mars.

Sigh...

And as we are watched from the stars

Those aliens would laugh and say

"Now finally, those dumb humans

"Are on the path to get it right some day."

 

End.

Author's Note

This really is what I'd do. I'd need a lot of assistants though, because handling the world would be a big responsibility!
