Crescendo, Decrescendo

Crescendo, Decrescendo

A Poem by Very Old Account

Down
Down
Down Up
Down Up
Down Up
Down
Down
Down UP
Where have I heard this before?
Listening to your words
Brings me back my memories
This is all history, your harmonies
Darling, I’ve heard your lies
So many times, too many times
Like a melody played over and over
In my head, and you won’t go away
Down
Down
Down Up
Down Up
Down Up
Down
Down
Down UP
Shut UP, already
I’ve heard this one before
I’m not your damsel
You’re not my minstrel
Quit singing your song of deceit
Weaving fabrications and adding a beat
You don’t get a prize
For spreading your lies
Too bad, the world’s not hearing you
Down
Down
Down Up
Down Up
Down Up
Down
Down
Down UP
You whisper in my ear
All the things I want to hear
Down, softer, down, softer, down
Goes each syllable, each note
Then you scream them at me,
Your sick mendacities,
Turning the volume up
Louder, up, louder, up, up, up
Down, up, down, up
Just like you and me
Louder, softer, louder, softer
Just like the dishonesty
I’m sick of hearing your
Bittersweet crescendo, decrescendo
Down
Down
Down Up
Down Up
Down Up
Down
Down
Down UP
Shut UP, because
The sound of your voice brings me back to you every time.

I like it.
The idea of someone you can't help but return to...it's quite an old theme, but you worked with it so well.
I so badly wish that I was the one who wrote this!
Although there were a lot of down-ups. Maybe a couple less would have been good ^^

Ah. I like this. Can't explain why. Something about it attracts me to it. Good job.
