the queen

the queen

A Poem by xSamilynnx

looking up
seeing someone i thought wanted to be
hazelnut eyes so different from my own
but the sister who held me close
you were there with every ounce of my trust

standing with your head held high
youknew everything you knew what was best
you taught me, loved me, helped me
then things changed, you changed
and ruined everything

one mistake and it was all gone
manipulation, poor word but all too true
made easier by the ample amount of trust
i did what you said, just the way you wanted
and ruined everything

caught with one foot off the edge
they stormed the castle for the queen
persuasion saved the queen, she fled
while her peasants reserved their wrath
and ruined everything

I love the theme of this piece. Holds a very strong memory that I wish I could know more about. Nicely done.
