Dear Father

Dear Father

A Poem by Sanbino Rodriguez-White
"

Most my life I've been without my father, and I still want to know him more...

"
Dear Father,

How have you been, it's been a while since you let me in...
I know your scared, I know it's hard...
But I'm no different I'm terrified...
Dear Father, Where did you go..?
You left when I was 3 months old...
You have you problems, you have your fears...
But one day you must let me in...
I've wrote you stories I've wrote you poems...
I dream of things that we haven't done...
I know you're hurting now I'm so old...
You must be thinking where did the years go...
Last time you saw me I was but a child...
You held me and your arms and song lullabies...
But now I'm grown, I'm almost 20...
You haven't known me for that many...
Years have past and months will go...
I'm left without you how will I know...
How you feel and how you talk if you love me or if you doubt...
I meant you once in all my life I was 17 but now I'm ripe...
It hurts to know that you're still gone, you haven't seen you're first son grow...
I have your name and you have mine but still we are running out of time...
I have want to know you... I want to love you
But you still have sometime I know...
I'll be right here I'll wait your call, I'll take the fall whether big or small...
Dear Father I have to know...
When do you plan to come back home...

Love Your Son,
Santateo
