'Christmas' JuiceA Chapter by Sara Mercury'so as to cure that run-down, sinking feeling'Anyone for antioxidant-rich, organic veggies? If your body is like mine, you tend to never get what you need from ordinary food, and your body doesn't take kindly to multivitamines, despite what you've paid for them. So, each day, I start out with a vegetable drink that gives me that much needed pep to get me through my hectic morning. This concoction might not sound good, but believe me, the fresh, delicious taste will surprise, if not completely AMAZE you! Ingredients: One tin of cooked beats, drained and rinsed; About 3 to 4 cups fresh, organic spinach; One cup of Ocean Spray Diet (sugar-free) blueberry juice 1/2 cup Truvia Dump it all into a food processor and puree it. When finished, the juice will be thick, not thin, and the texture will be more like pureed veggies than juice. The colours will be rich red and green, very reminiscent of the decorations on a Christmas tree. Hence, the reason why I call it 'Christmas Juice'. © 2012 Sara Mercury |
