Chocolate/Cinnamon Sprouted Grain Bread French ToastA Chapter by Sara Mercury
a breakfast to DIE FOR!
This is a breakfast I've eaten this morning, and it's nothing short of HEAVENLY!
You will need:
Egg Beaters (or two egg whites)
Organic cocoa powder
Stevia in the Raw (zero-calorie sweetener)
Ezekiel 4:9 Spouted Grain Bread (Cinnamon Raisin variety)
You begin by whipping up a basic flourless chocolate crepe as thus:
Take 1/2 cup of Egg Beaters, 1 level tablespoon of organic cocoa powder, 1/2 cup of Stevia in the Raw brand zero-calorie sweetener and beat together until well blended.
Then, you pour the crepe mixture over TWO SLICES of Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain Flourless CINNAMON-RAISIN bread. Make sure both slices of bread are generously covered and set covered in the fridge overnight to soak up the batter.
In the A.M., heat your non-stick skillet as you would normally do (using a very small amount of oil if you prefer), and proceed to cook your toast over a slow fire (#3 is best on a scale of 1-9). (Be ever mindful not to burn this toast!)
The result is a decadent, mildly sweet breakfast that will leave you energised and HAPPY for well under 300 calories!
You can't get that at your local doughnut shoppe, can you?
