A Death

A Death

A Poem by Sarah W. French
"

...

"
Her blood covers my hands,
her breathing shallow.

Please let me go,
leave me to die.

I let her come along,
she could have lived.

Your magic can't save,
leave me to die.

I should have stopped,
shaping my monster.

You didn't know her future,
leave me to die.

No please I can fix this,
I can save you.

Don't go after her,
just leave me be.

I'm sorry Belle, darling.
I should have been stronger.
I should have let you
leave.
