Rings and Weeping Willows

Rings and Weeping Willows

A Poem by Sarah Hobbit

There I was in my ripped off jeans
You all dressed up looking sexy

Both us excited for our adventure that day
We drive to the Waihi Waterlilly Gardens
Walking around holding hands.

Me not knowing what you were planning
Sitting under a weeping willow tree
Smiling & looking into your eyes
As you read to me the most beautiful poem
That ends with you on one knee
holding a ring for me

I cried and said YES
Now we are going to get married.

I love the story you depicted, it led up to the end of the story quite nicely. Though (it may just be me) I felt the flow was a little off key but good at any rate. Well done

A beautiful poem of love. I like the way you led the reader to the very good ending. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
