Lost LovesA Poem by Sarah CollJust something I scribbled down on the train.
How sad, it truly must be,
That we may hold our loves more than some Yet the lazy gaze of Moon doesn't see Nor feel the warmth of Sun. Despite longing for his own way, Solitude only subsides at dusk, When Earth mourns Day To brace Night's cold mask. Perhaps our dear Moon would seem less cold If Mountains bowed their humble heads To honour a love so bold Or even offer it a bed. Yet the Mountains show no lack of might And Moon is left to gaze Into Darkness where Star's light Merely echos the Sun's rays. And still the Sun will miss this sweet sorrow Whilst she stretches out her arms to greet the new morrow.
