Perfection in Human Form

Perfection in Human Form

A Poem by Katie Lynn
"

A dedication to my beloved cousin.

"
Can
You believe there is an angel, who
Never shows her face, she hides inside
The body of a girl of noble race,
Her radiant glow, so warm and bright, could melt solid
Ice, frozen hard from time, her light is
Always shining, it never fails to touch the hearts of others.

Be her two or be her twenty,
Reliable effervescence of optimism,
Ever present in her words, beseeching
Against anger, distrust, and cynicism,
Now she is six and going on twenty-three,
Never wondering of evil and where it could be, she's
Always smiling, happy and free.

That soul is sweet as sugar, innocence is
At rest in her heart,
You would not believe this angel exists, we've
Loved her from the very start, though she is still in the
Overture of her life, the blooming of a
Rose will always take time.

Author's Note

Katie Lynn
So, I dedicated this to my little six-year-old cousin, Cynthia Breanna Taylor, as the poem spells out lol. It might seem choppy, but it's mainly because she is a somewhat unpredictable little girl and you never know what she will do or say next. So I styled it after her personality lol. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. I love my little cousin dearly and I hope you will too. :)
P.S: I will add a picture of her later. :P
