Shooting Star

Shooting Star

A Poem by Katie Lynn
"

~I'm a Shooting Star~

"

Tonight I'm just a brilliant light,

Traveling across the sky,

Soaring down that horizon line,

Heaven and Earth collide.

Right now I am the very thing,

Halo and hands of dust,

Flying past with a rainbow tail,

In me, confide and trust.

I fly across our dazzling sky,

Hear words whispered to me,

Every wish that's wished upon me,

I grant, unyieldingly.

My powers only go so far,

My eyes, so far, can see,

But don't lose hope, and don't forget,

I'll love as you love me.

Tonight I am a shooting star,

Flying both far and wide,

When I'll come down, I have no clue,

Forever by His side.
